Domaine Rimbert "Cousin Oscar" Vin de France On Se l'Arrache (2014) - ORGANICALLY GROWN
Country: FRANCE / Region: LANGUEDOC / Appellation: VIN DE FRANCE / Varietal(s): CINSAULT --- Jean-Marie Rimbert moved to the Languedoc some 25 years ago, working at another estate until he could save enough to purchase his first parcels of land. The choice was not the noble syrah or even the prosperous grenache, but a patch of old-vine carignan. Now with 20 hectares, Rimbert is gaining fans, wine critics not excepted. He has expanded his grape varieties to include syrah and grenache, but also mourvèdre and the cinsault he uses to craft this cuvée. This organic red is made entirely from cinsault and perfect with a chill, keeping it fresh and quaffable, perfect for summer grilling or sipping by the pool. Fragrant with spice and berry fruit, enjoy this with a roast chicken or quinoa with mushrooms and kale.
