Aigner Riesling Kremstal DAC Trocken "Weinzierlberg" 2014 - SUSTAINABLY GROWN
Country: AUSTRIA / Region: KREMSTAL / Appellation: KREMSTAL DAC / Varietal(s): RIESLING --- Located near the Austrian city of Krems, Weingut Aigner has been making exceptional wines for over 200 years. Now in its ninth generation, winemaker Wolfgang Aigner continues to produce complex, fruity and earthy wines from some of the best vineyard sites in the Kremstal. Based on the pioneering work of his grandfather, he and his father have created a unique style, modernizing their facilities while remaining true to the time-tested traditions of the region. This dry riesling is a fabulous example, steely and elegant, and wonderfully suited to summer fare. Bone dry, with light hints of petrol and lemongrass on a nose of stonefruit, it boasts bright, tart acidity on the palate with notes of lemon, slate and bluestone. Precise without being austere, a persistent finish makes this a graceful companion to lemongrass-grilled chicken with rice vermicelli salad.
Álvaro Castro Dão DOP White 2015

This wine, a blend of four native varietals, offers crisp stone fruit flavors of apricot and peach, with intense minerality and food-friendly acidity. Calabretta Vino Rosso "Cala Cala" NV - ORGANICALLY GROWN
Country: ITALY / Region: SICILY / Appellation: N/A / Varietal(s): NERELLO MASCALESE+ NERELLO CAPPUCCIO --- From the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily comes this delectable red that is the epitome of old school Italian winemaking, and one of the absolute best values out there! Calabretta is a traditional winery that's putting a spin on classic Sicilian varietals, blending extra wine left over from their acclaimed long-aging single vintages into a more youthful wine. 95% nerello mascalese and 5% nerello cappuccio, the grapes come from old and new vines planted in the unique volcanic soil of Etna. The altitude and wind contribute to reducing disease and pest pressure, allowing winemaker Massimiliano Calabretta to use minimal intervention in the vineyards. Aged in large barrels and steel, "Cala, Cala" translates to "Gulp, Gulp", according to Massimiliano, and this wine will make you want to do just that. Medium-bodied and dry, with a delightful nose of stewed cherry, baking spice and orange peel, it follows up with coffee, smoked meat and dusty red fruit elements on the palate. A fresh and vibrant finish provides plenty of complexity and grip without being overwhelming. Fans of northern Piedmont, Barolo or even Burgundy will find plenty to love here! Sure to become a new favorite, this is delicious with grilled meats, tomato or eggplant dishes and pasta Puttanesca.
