Armand Heitz has his winemaking roots in Burgundy, where he has a well-earned reputation as a rising star, biodynamically farming his family's 150+ year old estate. He recently set out to make his mark on Beaujolais, with this, his first vintage of Beaujolais Nouveau! Domaine la Combe-Vineuse is encompasses 6 hectares in Juliénas, on soils of schist and bluestone. Though Beaujolais Nouveau is often seen as less-than-serious wine, we think it deserves attention when a legend of Burgundy winemaking such as Armand Heitz steps into the arena. This one should be quite interesting! Biodynamically grown, vegan.
