Oregon winemaker Anne Sery is a rising star of west coast winemaking, with her wines regularly featured by the glass at top NYC restaurants. With an enology degree from the University of Bordeaux under her belt, she has been creating acclaimed cabernet and merlot for Solena Estate since 2009. (Those familiar with Trousse Chemise cabernet sauvignon will also recognize Anne’s deft touch in the cellar!) Benoni pinot noir rosé is sourced from carefully farmed vines in and around the Dundee Hills of Oregon. Vibrant pink in color, it unfurls layers of cherry blossom, rose petal, and delicate red cherry on the nose, with more red berries - think wild strawberry and snappy dark red cherry - on a supple, round frame that finishes dry and elegant. It delivers a touch more weight and texture on the palate than many rosés, while remaining totally fresh and clean. A versatile match at the table - from dining room table to picnic table!
