|Appellation/Sub-Region||Riviera Ligure di Ponente Rossese DOC|
|Vineyard/Cellar Practices||Organically Grown, Vegan|
Rossese may not be the most well-known grape from Italy overall, but it’s the grape most often associated with red wines from Liguria (the crescent-shaped coastal area stretching out like wings on either side of Genoa). Vibrant and aromatic, with balanced acidity, rossese pairs equally well with tomato-based dishes and fried anchovies. Cascina Praié draws its rossese from the Cervo vineyards, perched on the steep slopes of the Riviera Ligure di Ponente, halfway between Genoa and Nice, overlooking the sea. The vineyards are farmed organically and the grapes hand-harvested. Ripe cherry and floral notes lead to bright berry flavors, with a touch of Mediterranean sea spray. For those nebbiolo and sangiovese fans out there, this could be a fresh, slightly less tannic alternative. Organically grown, vegan.
