Old Fitzgerald 14 Year Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon

Twice a year, Heaven Hill Distillery releases a limited edition run of its Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series. The Old Fitzgerald line is linked to the legendary Julian P. "Pappy" Van Winkle, as Pappy purchased the brand during the 1920s. Pappy moved production of Old Fitzgerald to his own distillery where it became the first great wheated bourbon. Some bourbon historians believe that the now highly-prized Pappy Van Winkle line of bourbons began as barrel selections of Old Fitzgerald. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the Old Fitzgerald brand and began distilling it at the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville.
