The all-female team at Domaine de Belle Mare lets a simple philosophy guide their winemaking: "Live to the rhythm of the vineyard to achieve the best possible yield, in the most natural manner." The domaine is situated next to the Thau Lagoon/Lake, a hub of oyster and mussel farming in the region, and the largest white wine region of the Languedoc. Piquepoul is an ancient Languedoc grape variety native to the banks of Lake Thau that ripens later than most, and when planted in a dry climate, it takes advantage of the humidity of the late season to complete its maturation. The domaine produces an elegantly styled picpoul with beautiful salinity, texture and brightness, with an attractive bouquet of white flowers and hawthorn. Sustainably grown, vegan.
