Vineyard/Cellar Practices | Certified Organic, Biodynamically Grown, Low-intervention/Natural Wine |
Charles Bouly is relatively new to the vineyards he works in the village of Le Fresne sur Loire—he and his partner, Laure, purchased the property in 2019—but it doesn’t show in his wines. Dedicated to organic farming, they have also been experimenting with biodynamic practices. Though generally focusing on Loire varieties such as cabernet franc, chenin blanc, pineau d’Aunis and grolleau, Charles also grows the cabernet sauvignon that made its way into this complex rosé. Harvested by hand and slowly pressed overnight, the wine aged in concrete for 18 months. Smooth and textural, it brings quince and dark red strawberry aromas together with a palate of tropical fruit and spice. Certified organic, biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
