Douglas Laing is a family-owned, independent bottling company, established in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing, and it is now in its third generation. It is one of the few Whisky firms in Scotland that remains independently owned. Master Blender Fred Laing has created a line of single malt blends to create six definitive tastes that represent each of Scotland’s whisky regions. ‘The Epicurean’ represents Lowland Scotland, and is fresh, citric, and herbal, echoing the scenic, grassy region. It has a balanced sweetness on the palate with a hint of peach candy and burnt orange peel and is absent of peat smoke.
