Early Mountain has been making unique, delicious wine in the Shenandoah Valley now for a decade. Their “Young Wine” series features hybrid grape varieties in fresh and interesting forms. Here, they primarily use the type of grape called chambourcin, mixed with a small amount of skin-fermented vidal blanc. Light and bright with a touch of earth and structure, it develops candied cherry flavors with a dry finish and a hint of tannin.
