Deep, dark ruby at the core, and slightly brickish around the edges, this 1999 Easton zinfandel opens with a nose full of dark red berries, grilled steak, dried tobacco, mushroom and potting soil. The stewed red currant and raspberries make there way to the forefront on fist sip. Super long finish, and the texture becomes more expansive in the mouth as the wine gets some air. Absolutely delicious wine and will continue to age well.
