With a focus on pinot noir, riesling, and pinot blanc from nine organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards, Harper Voit strives to bring out the best of what is unique about the Willamette Valley. Winemaker Drew Voit chooses just the right moment to harvest each plot and takes the time to match the winemaking process to the varietal and terroir. Pinot blanc is rare enough a grape variety on the west coast; even rarer is a naturally-produced pinot blanc allowed to barrel age on the lees. The result is a complex, beautifully-textured wine reminiscent of a well-aged Muscadet. It is simultaneously buttery and crisp, with the crunch of tart apple and the mellowness of shortbread. Citrusy acidity gives structure, accompanied by just a hint of sweetness that rounds out the finish. Certified biodynamic, vegan.
