|Appellation/Sub-Region||Colline Novaresi DOC|
|Vineyard/Cellar Practices||Organically Grown|
Now in the hands of the sixth generation, the Ioppa family’s vineyards express the unique character of their Alta Piemonte region through careful but straightforward winemaking. The family’s holdings lie in the northern part of Italy’s Piedmont, across the Sesia River from Gattinara, in the foothills of the Alps. Whereas Gattinara sits on igneous rock, the Ioppa’s Ghemme (DOCG) and Colline Novaresi (DOC) sites consist of granite sand. The particular soil composition gives Ioppa’s wines their distinctive tension and lift. This bright, textural, and food-friendly rosé really shines. Made from young-vine nebbiolo, crushed, drained, and quickly pressed, it ferments in stainless steel. Opening to a fresh cherry blossom bouquet, it combines candied cherry on the palate with savory notes and a beautiful texture, finishing with a touch of grapefruit pith. Organically grown.
