Long-time friends Patrick Sullivan and Xavier Goodridge have been enjoying adventures together since the age of 18, when they headed to London to explore the local wine scene. Based in Gippsland, they have each gained a loyal following for their individual winemaking, and share a deep connection and commitment to organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyards and cellar. Jumping Juice is their collaborative project - a playful tribute to their shared sense of adventure and friendship, and a chance for them to experiment with parcels of fruit from all over the country, with an emphasis on making incredibly drinkable, fun wines in a low-intervention manner. This is the tenth vintage of ‘Half Full Red’, and includes the prized addition of a small amount of syrah from Mike Sleggers’ biodynamic vineyard in the Margaret River. That syrah (aka shiraz) and cabernet sauvignon are joined by a third, unlikely partner: skin-fermented sauvignon blanc. This light and lively red absolutely bursts with crunchy, spicy red currants, tart cherries, and cranberries, accented with a wildly exotic hoppy, resinous character, courtesy of the sauvignon blanc. Savory herbal tones round out the show- a show that hipsters and hippies alike will love. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
