Though Moritz Haidle represents the third generation of Haidles to farm the family vineyards, he brings a young, adventurous energy to a deep-rooted tradition. A graffiti artist as well as a winemaker, he is dedicated to making statements—visual and drinkable—with sharp lines and bold artistry. Though the Württemberg region is primarily known for its reds, Haidle focuses on riesling along with red varieties lemberger (blaufränkisch) and spätburgunder (pinot noir): hence Moritz’s nickname, “Ritzling.” This dry riesling, organically farmed and fermented with native yeasts, ages in stainless steel (70%) and decades-old German oak casks. Clean, aromatic, and fresh, this is a classic expression of German riesling.
