Arguably the finest producer in the Rheinhessen, Klaus-Peter Keller took over his family’s estate in 2001 and specializes in bottling single-vineyard old vine riesling. The Keller family emigrated from Switzerland hundreds of years ago and has owned parts of the Dalsheimer Hubacker vineyard since 1789. Their knowledge of centuries of winemaking history in the region has led them to rediscover forgotten plots that yield world-class wine. The combination of historic, mineral-rich vineyards and Klaus-Peter’s non-interventionist approach in the cellar has resulted in wines hailed as the ‘Montrachets of Germany’, defined by their complexity, texture, and weight.
