La Bernarde is perched on a rocky limestone hillside about 300 meters above sea level – one of the highest wineries in the Côte d'Azur. The combination of limestone soils and cool microclimate (this part of Provence sees snow in the winter!) sets La Bernarde apart from many other domaines that occupy the hot flatlands outside of St. Tropez. This historic property is located in the village of Luc, in the center of the Côte d’Azur. The domaine owns all the vineyards and grapes that go into their wines (another rarity in Provence.) They utilize organic farming practices and traditional winemaking techniques, which, combined with their unique terroir and climate, allow La Bernarde to produce wines of bright, mineral-driven character that stand apart from the crowd. This rosé is a blend of certified organic cinsault, grenache, mourvèdre, rolle, and syrah, fermented and aged in tank. It offers fantastic balance and refreshment, with snappy flavors of wild strawberry, blood orange, tangerine zest, and hints of lavender on a clean, stony finish. Certified organic, vegan.
