Martine and Gérard Lenormand have been farming in Heurteauville, Normandy, since 1998, and grow both pears and apples. This poiré is made from a blend of Plant de Blanc, De Cloche, and Champagne pears, grown organically on loamy limestone soils. It is fermented in tank and sees light filtration before bottling with no sulfur added. This low-intervention cider is dry and bright, avoiding any overt funkiness while remaining complex and refreshing. Clean pear flavors are accompanied by light hints of honey. Light-bodied, lower-alcohol, and bone dry, this makes a wonderful afternoon sipper or partner with food. Organically grown, low-intervention, vegan.
