|Appellation/Sub-Region||Chianti Classico DOCG|
|Vineyard/Cellar Practices||Organically Grown, Low-Intervention/Natural Wine, Vegan|
Le Masse di Lamole is unique to Chianti Classico in that it has the highest altitude vineyards, starting at 400m but having the absolute highest at 650m. Some of their vines are 100 years old and are planted on their roots, avoiding the phylloxera disaster due to the high content of marl and sandstone in the soils. The wine fermentations begin spontaneously in stainless steel without temperature control and are finished in chestnut botti di castagno, some being over 100 years old. Their Chianti is bright and plush, with aromas of blue and violet flowers, raspberry, pomegranate, blackcurrant, and spice. The flavors echo the aromas on the palate with a full body and structured tannins. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
