Once the home of some of the world’s most sought after wines, the Rheingau fell to mediocrity in the years following WWII. Johannes Leitz took over his family's vineyard in 1985 and, in the decades since, has made it his life’s work to reclaim the intrinsic quality of his native terroir. Now hailed as one of the finest producers in Germany, Johannes has grown his holdings from 2.6 hectares to over 40, gathering national and international accolades for his outstanding wines along the way. In 2007 the ‘Eins Zwei Zero’ label of zero alcohol wine was created to offer the best quality wines possible for those who don’t want to consume alcohol but still want to enjoy a glass of wine. The wine is de-alcoholized via vacuum distillation, which removes the alcohol under extremely low pressure and temperature, thereby preserving the nuances of aroma and flavor. This non-alcoholic sparkling rosé is 100% pinot noir, macerated for 6 hours before pressing. It displays delicate notes of raspberries, strawberries, and a cool minerality. Exuberant bubbles balance out the touch of residual sugar on the finish. Sustainably grown, vegan.
