Domaine Luneau-Papin, run by Pierre-Marie, was born from a joining of property from each of his parents. The cellar is in Le Landreau, in the heart of Musacdet, where his father was born. They also have vines in Chappelle-Heulin, where his mother’s family is from, and the two estates merged in the 90’s. Pierre-Marie grew up in the winery, so he was able to take over as head vigneron relatively early in his life. They have many different parcels, but are distinct in that they vinify and bottle each parcel separately to keep the integrity of the separate terroirs. All of their holdings are also certified organic as of the 2016 vintage. This cuvée comes from the La Grange vineyard, iis within the village of Le Landreau and contains micaschist soils. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and ages on its lees for seven months before it’s bottled. It is citrus driven with lemon and grapefruit character with crisp, refreshing acidity and notes of lees and salinity. Certified organic.
