Robert Eden emigrated to France from England over 20 years ago with the dream of crafting truly terroir-driven wines. His firm belief is that wines are “grown” rather than “made”, and to that end, Château Maris practices both organic and biodynamic viticulture and has been a certified B Corp since 2016. Maris boasts the world’s only wine cellar made from hemp bricks, an environmentally friendly building which is completely biodegradable. Now, they farm a 79-acre estate divided into a multitude of small vineyards on the hillside above the village of La Livinière, the first Cru Classé of the Minervois. Their vermentino is mouth filling and tropical, with balanced acidity and a long, luscious finish. Certified organic, vegan.
