If you’re a fan of Sancerre, you will appreciate Pascal Jolivet’s ‘Attitude’ sauvignon blanc, from the Touraine, a neighboring area to Sancerre in the Loire Valley. While Jolivet’s wines from the prestige appellations of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé can fetch considerably higher prices, his team takes just as much care with this deliciously approachable and fantastically priced regional release. Stemming from one estate, the vines for this cuvée grow on the limestone soils of Chémery and the sandier soils of Anger-sur-Cher. Winemaker Valentina Buoso ferments with indigenous yeasts in temperature-regulated stainless steel. Salted lime greets the nose, with textural peach notes on the palate and a long, refreshing finish. Organically grown.
