|Vineyard/Cellar Practices||Sustainably Grown, Vegan|
Philippe Raimbault is in the village of Sury-en-Vaux in Sancerre, and he is a ninth generation vintner. Many of his vines are planted in the steep slopes of "les caillottes" soil from the Jurassic period, an era that left behind fossils of sea creatures 130 million years ago. The label depicts an ancient sea fossil, and the name “Apud Sariacum” is named after the ancient namesake of the village; the vines circle the whole village. This Sancerre is classic to the core, with generous notes of citrus and minerals, and a lingering, mouthwatering finish. Sustainably grown.
