The history of the Château de Rouët stretches back to the 18th century, when the Marquis de Villeneuve owned the property and provided wine from its vineyards to the court of Louis XVI. The current owners, the Savatier family, trace their lineage on the site to the 1840 purchase of the domaine. Their vineyards climb the slope of the Esterel mountain, surrounded by a uniquely Mediterranean forest. This dry, fresh, delightful rosé is made from grenache (50%), cinsault (20%), syrah (20%), and tibourenc (10%) grown in clay and limestone soils. It ferments and ages in stainless steel. Aromas of lavender and red berries meet touches of peach and spice on the palate. Sustainably grown.
