|Vineyard/Cellar Practices||Organically Grown, Low-Intervention/Natural Wine, Vegan|
Jean-Pascal Sarnin and Jean-Marie Berrux are Burgundian négociants who produce low-intervention wines with high quality fruit. They produce their wines in traditional and ancestral ways, respecting the grapes by not using any added products to alter the wines and limiting manipulation. All of their fruit is sourced from organic or biodynamic vineyards in Burgundy, so they can make wines that are pure and sustainable. The gamay grapes for “Le Bojo Sutra” come from Régnié, the youngest Cru of Beaujolais (first recognized in 1988), known for its medium body and notes of redcurrant and raspberry. The vines are an average of 50 years old and the soils are granite. Local lore in the region states that it was the site of the first vineyards planted by the Romans in Beaujolais. The wine is definitely true to the Cru: full of tart red fruit on a medium bodied frame, perfectly pure from the minimal intervention in vineyard and cellar. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
