Scribe Winery in Sonoma was founded in 2007 on a property that had been a pioneer in winemaking since before Prohibition. It is managed by fourth generation California farmers (and brothers), Andrew and Adam Mariani, with the mission of producing vibrant, terroir-driven wines. Adam and Andrew believe that the best wines come from vineyards managed in harmony with the ecosystems they co-exist in, resulting in site-specific wines that reflect a sense of time and place, where neither pesticides nor herbicides are used. Carrying this philosophy over into non-interventionist winemaking methods, the results are wines that distinctly express the vineyards they originate from. 100% pinot noir from the southwest slope of Arrowhead Mountain, this elegant, dry, refreshing rosé is redolent with ripe watermelon and blood orange fruit with a lengthy finish.
