Sean Minor has been in the wine business for over twenty years, starting at Beaulieu Vineyards (BV), then moving to Oregon to run King Estate, and eventually coming back to California to oversee Renwood Winery. Discovering that wine was their second highest monthly expense, the Minor family founded Sean Minor Wines in 2005, turning their favorite beverage into an income rather than expenditure. Obviously, they are passionate about enjoying quality wine, but haven’t lost sight of value; their wines deliver on both fronts. The grapes for this wine were sourced from the Central Coast, whole cluster pressed and immediately racked to stainless steel. A portion was fermented in French oak barrels, the remainder in stainless steel; the wine underwent partial malolactic. Smooth and medium to full on the palate, generous stone and tropical fruits mixed with bright green apple give way to a touch of butter and mineral on the finish.
