Stolpman Vineyards is considered the founding vineyard of the Ballard Canyon AVA within Santa Barbara, which was granted official status in 2013. "Love You Bunches" is a pun referring to the use of whole grape bunches during fermentation (without rupturing the grapes). This new edition is the color of a California sunset, made from a unique blend of white and red grapes: 54% orange muscat, 26% pinot gris, and 20% mourvèdre. Grapes were destemmed, fermented whole cluster with native yeast in a sealed tank, with six days of whole grape skin contact, then gently pressed and allowed to finish fermentation. The wine then spent three months in 50% stainless steel and 50% barrel, before being bottled without the addition of sulfur. It bursts with aromas of tangerine peel, passionfruit, papaya, and cantaloupe. On the palate it offers generous notes of guava, papaya, passionfruit, and a squeeze of zesty blood orange, with savory, floral accents of herbes de Provence. The finish is long and savory, with gently grippy tannin and a faint herbal bitterness. An orange wine for rosé lovers! Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
