Moschofilero thrives in the particular microclimate of the Mantinia plateau, where the Troupis family winery was established in 2010. While focusing on the traditional grape of the region, they continually invest in new rootstalks, vineyard sites, and equipment for their gleamingly modern facility. The technique for this ‘Hoof & Lur’ moschofilero puts a contemporary twist on ancient, natural winemaking practices. It fermented on the skins, partially in concrete eggs and partially in stainless steel, with indigenous yeasts and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Flowers and blood orange on the nose proceed to a zesty citrus palate. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
