Anne Pichon Sauvage Rose Gris Montagne Ventoux AOP 2018 - ORGANICALLY GROWN
Country: FRANCE / Region: RHÔNE VALLEY / Appellation: MONTAGNE VENTOUX AOP / Varietal(s): GRENACHE+ CINSAULT+SYRAH+CARIGNAN --- In 2008, Marc Pichon bought Domaine le Murmurium in the Côte de Ventoux village of Mormoiron. Made up of 13 hectares of old vineyards on prime terroir adjacent to Château Pesquie, Murmurium comes from the Latin phrase "The Buzzing Song of Bees". All the vineyards are cultivated through 100% organic practices without any chemicals or pesticides and by hand tilling the soil. All harvesting is also by hand, and the grapes are completely destemmed. Although tragically no longer with us, Marc Pichon has said that his inspiration behind "Sauvage" is to make a fresh, pure style of wine, and his wife Anne continues that tradition of sustainably producing elegant, accessible cuvées. This delightful rosé is a blend of grenache, cinsault, syrah, and old vine carignan, possessing a sophisticated nose of fresh white flowers and just-ripe cherries. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate, it offers up complex fruit notes of berries, white cherries, and spice, ending with a luxuriously long finish. Available in both 750 ml bottles AND 1.5 L magnums, this is sure to quickly become a favorite for summer gatherings!

Redentore Chardonnay Delle Venezie IGT Senza Solfiti 2016 - ORGANICALLY GROWN + LOW INTERVENTION

Country: ITALY / Region: VENETO / Appellation: DELLE VENEZIE IGT / Varietal(s): CHARDONNAY --- Redentore is owned by the De Stefani family, who have been producing wine in the Veneto since the late 1800s. They focus on small production natural wines, and the name Redentore is an homage to the culture of Venice. It means redemption, evoking the annual Redentore Festival that celebrates the end of the plague that struck Venice between 1575 and 1577. All of the wines are made using organic grapes and never see the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. They also do not add sulfites or other preservatives at any point during the winemaking process. This 100% chardonnay is fermented in wax-lined concrete tanks and sees no oak during its vinification, retaining incredible freshness and acidity while unfurling lovely layers of ripe fruit. It’s allowed to rest on fine lees, giving it an umami-driven, saline complexity on top of orchard and tropical fruit and flowers. Delicious with lemon-rosemary grilled chicken. Organically grown, low-intervention, vegan.

--- Bodega Lanzaga, founded in 1994, is the creation of Telmo Rodriguez (son of Jaime Rodríguez Salís and Amaia Hernandoarena of the famed Remelluri estate) and his partner Pablo Eguzkiza. The village of Lanciego is situated in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains, reflecting the contrasting Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. Its 19 hectares of organically farmed vines are where Telmo seeks to recreate the vineyards of 150 years ago, where as many as 50 grape varieties would all be planted together. This is a delightful blend of tempranillo, garnacha, graciano, and viura from a mix of different vineyards in the Alavesa sub-region, co-fermented with wild yeasts. Blackberry and ripe red fruit dance around a silky frame that shows incredible clean freshness and purity with a backbone of sultry dark fruit and minerality. This makes a fantastic partner to split pea "meatballs" with pistachio yogurt.
