MO Salinas Macabeo Blanco Alicante DO 2017
Country: SPAIN / Region: ALICANTE / Appellation: ALICANTE DO / Varietal(s): MACABEO+MOSCATEL --- This lovely white is 68% macabeo, 32% moscatel, from hand harvested, dry-farmed grapes. Destemmed, gently pressed, and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, it is pale yellow in color, clean and bright. A bouquet of tropical fruits, bright citrus, and subtle white flowers in the background introduce a palate that’s silky and fresh, yielding to a long finish of delicate tropical fruits and mineral hints. A great grab for everyday, open this with watercress ricotta torte, or a simple cucumber, feta, and yellow tomato salad when it's just too hot to cook! Versatile enough to pair with pretty much anything!
Scribe Winery "Una Lou" Rosé of Pinot Noir Carneros 2018
Country: USA / Region: CALIFORNIA / Appellation: CARNEROS / Varietal(s): PINOT NOIR --- Scribe Winery in Sonoma was founded in 2007 on a property that had been a pioneer in winemaking since before Prohibition. It is managed by fourth generation California farmers (and brothers) Andrew and Adam Mariani with the mission of producing vibrant, terroir-driven wines. Adam and Andrew believe that the best wines come from vineyards managed in harmony with the ecosystems in which they co-exist, resulting in site-specific wines that reflect a sense of time and place, where neither pesticides nor herbicides are used. Carrying this philosophy over into non-interventionist winemaking methods, the results are wines that distinctly express the vineyards from which they originate. The ‘Una Lou’ is named after Andrew’s daughter, and is made with pinot noir that comes from their Leveroni, Ricci, and Scheid vineyards. This canned rosé is super bright and fresh, with notes of wild strawberry, white peach, and jasmine, perfect for the beach, hiking, or a concert! The can is 375ml, essentially a half-bottle! Organically grown.
