Upwell Pinot Noir California 2020

Upwell is importer/distributor Coeur Wine Company's value brand, working with growers as well as sourcing finished wines from producers. This lovely pinot noir comes primarily from North Coast vineyards, including Mendocino, and is fermented in stainless steel with native yeast. Only a small portion sees any oak influence, allowing the pure fruit tones to really shine through. Light to medium-bodied, dry and balanced, this offers up delicate notes of candied black cherry, bright splashes of cranberry, and a kiss of black pepper. A light stroke of tannins on a lingering finish makes this an elegant, versatile value.
