Jack Lewens, a sommelier, joined up with winemaker Bruno de Conciliis to form Vigneti Tardis in 2017. Drawing on the local grape varieties of Campania, they make quietly exquisite wines in tune with the environment of their corner of the Italian peninsula. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and left to macerate on the skins for a day before aging on the lees in stainless steel, this fiano carries with it an orchard richness expressive of its varietal and place. Lightly fined with bentonite, it remains suitable for vegans. This ‘Mercoledì’ represents one wine in the winery’s ‘Settimana’ series: perfect for a Wednesday, or any occasion that calls for intriguing, delicious wine! A nutty hint of hazelnut skin complements bruised apple and fresh minerality. Organically grown, biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
