Create an accountBruno Zanasi was born in 1919 and introduced to the world of agriculture at a young age by his father, Luigi. He was drafted by the military at age 18, so it wasn’t until 1957 that he bought an almost 10-acre piece of land in San Vito. Ultimately, he would become attracted to the higher paying jobs created by the industrial revolution, and he abandoned the farm. Over time, the family has restructured the estate and purchased new plots, and now utilizing the latest technology, they produce a full line of still and sparkling wines from Emilia-Romagna. The estate is now run by Bruno's grandson, Marco, who combines the wisdom passed down from his grandfather with his own patience and passion for wine. The lambrusco grapes for this dry, red sparkler are hand harvested from 35-year-old vines planted in clay soils, fermented in stainless steel, and made sparkling via the charmat method. It boasts a bright fruitfulness, yet remains dry with light, vivacious bubbles. Serve chilled.
