Sometimes a wine makes us do a double-take, a double-sniff, a double-sip; like what is actually going on here? Although confusion can be challenging, it allows for a great potential for expansion and delight. Today, we're opening up some bottles that blew our minds the first time we tried them. Whether they be unexpected, unfamiliar, or straight up unknown, wines sourced from off-the-beaten path can require some vulnerability and humility when first introduced and experienced. We are here to be scared together. May that fear transmute into fandom.
