Åhus Aquavit

Åhus is a tiny seaside village in southern Sweden, and for many years the namesake distillery was the main hub of aquavit production. This is the only product that they make, and they have worked for over a century to perfect it. As per legal standard, the primary flavor in aquavit must be caraway and/or dill, and true Swedish aquavit must also contain fennel. Other botanicals that they use include rosemary, lemon peel, and Seville orange. It can be enjoyed neat or chilled in true Scandanavian fashion, but also adds wonderful character to a myriad of cocktails. Check out their website for some awesome recipes!
