So, not to brag, but Domaine Albert Mann is one of only eight 3-star rated domaines in Alsace by Revue du Vin de France. And it’s just a matter of public record that they were also awarded Winemakers of the Year of France in 2012. Once you open your first bottle, you’ll understand why this estate consistently ranks as one of the best of the appellation. The 25 hectare estate is the result of the union of the Mann and Barthelmé families, both lines of vignerons dating back to the 17th century. Spanning over seven grand crus, they have been certified organic and practicing biodynamic for over thirty years. This gewürztraminer is the embodiment of the sumptuous and opulent nature of Alsatian craftsmanship. It coats your palate like an oilspill, viscous and glyceryl, with enough acid to swiftly cleanse, restructure, and rebalance. A whisper of sugar, golden raisin, and hazelnut enhance the lushness of concentrated stone fruit that blossoms on the finish.
