Winemaker Agustí Torello Roca founded his winery in 2015 with a quest to make wines that showcase the very best of the unique Penedès terroir. “Anima Munda” is named after Plato’s philosophy that the world is a living and interconnected being, a notion that Roca carries through his winemaking, believing that wine is so much more than just a beverage. The grapes were harvested by hand and pressed whole cluster, then fermented and aged in two parts: half in 500L used French Oak barrels and half in stainless steel tanks. After 8 months of aging on the lees, the wine was blended and bottled without fining, filtering, or sulfur additions.Notes of lemon pith, lemon curd, oat straw waft from the glass, accompanied by flint and light tobacco on the palate. Medium- to full- bodied, flavorful, and complex, this wine is sure to excite and delight those who indulge.
