June 30, 2023 | American wines for the fourth of July!

* Happy Fourth of July! *
(...you know, almost)

In honor of the upcoming Independence Day holiday, this week's tasting is a showcase of wines from all across the USA.

*** A one-of-a-kind white from New York's Six Eighty Cellars, fermented in sandstone to produce an incredible texture ***

** A vibrant & juicy red from Megan Bell (aka Margins Wine), a talented young producer dedicated to reviving California's underappreciated grape varieties via mindful organic farming and low-intervention winemaking **

* & a funky bottle of bubbles from Joe Swick, a lover of blends and a leading producer of thoughtful natural wine in Oregon *

Though each selection we'll be pouring varies greatly from the others, all represent a modern take on New World wine and viticulture. And for what it's worth, they're also all great for picnics and parades, barbecues and fireworks, or just raising a glass to good 'ol America.
