Peter Yi fell in love with cider on a trip to Basque Country, tasting natural cider straight from the barrel. He worked as a wine buyer, and took the trip to take a break from tasting wine while exploring another beverage. He was so inspired by the delicious farm-fresh food paired with natural cider that a week later, he called his sister Susan and insisted that they needed to make their own cider house in Brooklyn. He walked away from the business that he spent 25 years building, and she quit teaching to study apples and hard cider in 2014. Their friend Lindsey Storm, a former VP of Credit Sales at a large company, joined them in the second year, and together they revitalized a Hudson Valley orchard where they have built a cidery, tasting room, farm store, and pavilion that serves wood-fired pizza and burgers. The award-winning ‘Kinda Dry’ Cider is off-dry, and as close as you can get to biting into a freshly-picked New York apple. It is the perfect casual sipper or picnic companion!
