This aperitif from the Lorraine region of France (just west of Alsace) is made from a blend of freshly pressed gamay must and grape brandy. Sweet yet still refreshing, it exudes characteristic notes of honey and nuts, with hints of sea salt caramel and preserved lemon rind. Fantastic as an aperitif, paired as a dessert wine, or as an accompaniment to foie gras and strong cheeses.
