Day Wines 'Lemonade' Rosé Willamette Valley 2022

Dundee, Oregon-based Day Wines is owned and operated by the incredible Brianne Day, a winemaker whose experience spans multiple continents and extends through almost every arm of the wine business. Since establishing her eponymous label in 2012, she has worked in a very intentional, low-intervention way to craft distinctive and nuanced expressions of Pacific Northwest terroir. Though Brianne works with plenty of ‘underappreciated’ grapes, as she calls them, Oregon pinot noir is her hallmark. In rosé form in this case, pinot noir from organic and biodynamic vineyards results in a light, aromatic wine with electric liveliness. As interesting and complex as any of the wines Brianne produces and relaxed enough to live up to its name, ‘Lemonade’ is ready for the pool or the shore. Melon and pink grapefruit lead to lime zest and white pepper on the finish. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
