Having studied the winemaking of Beaujolais, Burgundy, the Loire, and the Northern Rhône, Kate Norris and Thomas Monroe took those techniques to the West Coast. At Division Winemaking in Portland, Oregon, they have been crafting French-inspired wines since 2010. All their pinot noir vineyards are farmed with an eye to sustainability, with every site save one farmed organically and/or biodynamically. Consecutive cool climate years have resulted in a cuvée of excellent lift and balance, made in Division’s trademark lighter, elegant style. Savory, spicy aromatics yield to a palate of wild berries, rhubarb, and mineral undertones. A lithe, versatile expression of Willamette Valley pinot! Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
