At this historic estate located in the northwestern region of Canavese in Piedmont, tradition reigns supreme with fifth generation winemaker Roberto at the helm of this family-owned winery, established in 1890. The wine also has the honor of being the very first wine Neal Rosenthal imported into the United States, making this a hallmark of the importer’s impressive book. Hand harvested in October, this selection of the very best erbaluce grapes maintains naturally high acidity, making the wine a perfect partner for food. This wine is vinified primarily in stainless steel tanks to retain the natural freshness of the grapes, while the use of neutral French oak lends some complexity and a touch of roundness on the palate. In the glass it is luscious and savory, with notes of white pepper, lush yellow apple, herbs and a slight vegetal aroma. Full flavored and balanced, there is a lingering sense of refreshment from the bright acidity.
