Freeland Spirits Bourbon 750ml

Freeland Spirits was founded by farm and food advocate Jill Kuehler and features the talents of Master Distiller Molly Troupe, currently the youngest Master Distiller in the country. This Portland, OR craft distillery also holds the distinction of being one of the few women owned and run distilleries in operation. The distillery is named after Jill’s grandmother, “Meemaw” Freeman, a teatotalling Texan who instilled in Jill the philosophy that women can achieve anything they want and that “all good things come from scratch.” In 2017 Freeland Gin was launched, followed by Freeland Bourbon in 2018. This bourbon is sourced from a partner distillery and finished for five months in Elk Cove pinot noir barrels. 70% corn, 20% rye, and 10% malted barley, it is blended, with the addition of a small batch of 12 year old bourbon, by Master Distiller Molly into a delicious expression of the Pacific Northwest. A rounded, velvety texture unfurls layers of sweet caramel, roasted sweet corn, vanilla, and baking spice. Beautifully balanced and downright delicious, it is equally at home sipped neat or as the foundation to your favorite cocktail.
