The Parra family has deep roots in the agricultural traditions of La Mancha, and in 1993 brothers Francisco, Javier, and Luis founded their winery in the village of Las Mesas, near Cuenca, becoming regional pioneers of organic viticulture in the process. Javier’s son, Pablo, has taken over the winemaking at Bodegas Parra Jiménez, and the high desert plateaus of La Mancha are ideal for producing natural/organic wines. The winery now claims Sohiscert organic and Demeter biodynamic certifications. The Gulp Hablo Orange is the perfect crowd pleaser orange wine: a LITER blend of verdejo and sauvignon blanc, it delivers lip smacking layers of pineapple, quince, and lemon, with crushed herbs and green pepper, on a lightly grippy finish.
