‘Tis the season for Hetta Glögg! Glögg (mulled wine) is a beverage that was once enjoyed by the Nords; a red wine rich with spices that is meant to be served warm. It was also once used as a medicinal beverage for clearing head colds and easing tension in the harsh winter months. Gently heat the Hetta in a saucepan until it is hot but not boiling, 170 degrees F is ideal. It can also be enjoyed cold over ice, as a topping for ice cream, or in a variety of cocktails (their website has several recipes!). Bonus: it’s made right in the Hudson Valley in Kingston!
