Les Tètes is the collaborative project of four friends: Nicolas, Philippe, Baptiste, and Vivien. Wine made by friends, meant to be drunk with friends: fresh, easy-drinking, and affordable bottles from organically grown grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts and with minimal sulfur. This small wine collective is located in the Loire Valley village of Le Pressoir in Touraine Azay-le-Rideau. The vineyards are nestled in the pristine lands surrounding Château de Rigny-Ussé, near the birthplace of Honoré de Balzac and the workshop of Alexander Calder. ‘Gamuto’ is made from biodynamically farmed gamay, which is hand harvested, fermented whole cluster and aged in concrete, then bottled without fining or filtration. Lithe and lively on the palate, hints of cherry blossom and red berries on the nose lead into juicy layers of ripe red cherry and crushed herbs. Totally thirst-quenching! Biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
