The Moissenet-Bonnard domaine has been owned by the same family for eight generations. Jean-Louis Moissenet took over winemaking in 1988, with the idea of putting into practice the philosophies he learned from his parents, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Now assisted by his daughter Emmanuelle-Sophie, Jean-Louis farms using the ‘lutte raisonnée’ method, avoiding herbicides and pesticides, plowing in order to help the vines dig deep to extract the richness of the soil, and maintaining biodiversity and mycorrhization through grass/groundcover around the rows. Grapes are harvested by hand, sorted and completely destemmed. This Crémant is a blanc de noirs, made with 100% pinot noir, from vines aged between 40-52 years old. It is full of energy and freshness with notes of strawberry, black currant, and raspberry, with a long, persistent finish of aromatic stewed fruits. Sustainably grown.
